Get to Know Me
Hello and welcome! I am a compassionate, trauma-informed clinician dedicated to creating an inclusive, affirming space for individuals and couples. With a focus on liberation, I work holistically, honoring multicultural, neurodivergent, and LGBTQ+ experiences. My approach blends psychotherapy with creative expression and somatic practices, empowering you to cultivate self-awareness, healing, and inner wisdom. I am here to support you on your journey towards freedom, connection, and wholeness.
I came to my work as a therapist in a roundabout way. I started dancing when I was three years old. When I moved to NYC I intended to dance professionally, but soon realized that turning my passion into something that I depended on for my livelihood wasn't what I expected. I worked at New York City Ballet in their educational outreach department for several years before going back to school and becoming a therapist. As a child I often felt misunderstood, lonely, and that I was "too much" emotionally. It is an honor to serve as an emotional support for my clients on a daily basis and witness their growth. My work as a therapist is fueled by a desire to leave this world a little bit brighter and more compassionate than when I entered it.
I approach my work with a beginner's mindset–I am hungry to continue learning and expanding my practice. Curiosity is an essential trait in my approaches and I strive to create a non-hierarchical relationship with my clients. I contend that no individual theoretical framework is comprehensive enough to support healing for all, but rather that it is the “oscillation of attitude and technique, nimbly and humbly” that embodies my identity as a therapist. In our work together you are the expert on yourself, while I bring my perspective, knowledge, and tools.
My goal for you is to become your most authentic self–intentional in your choices, empathetic, vibrant, and engaged with the world. For me healing is about ongoing evolution, reconnecting with yourself, finding inner peace, and feeling whole and worthy as you are. In our work together I will support you in reclaiming all parts of yourself with compassion. Sessions may involve discussion, guided movement, body exploration, meditation, breath work, writing, or art creation. Space will be created for you to process and integrate the session in whatever way feels most relevant and meaningful to you.
